ZEVAC provides the pipeline operator the tools enabling them to continue to deliver hydrocarbon molecules to and for their customers in the safest and most environmentally sustainable means possible. The Mechanical Design Engineer will perform a wide range of duties to assure ZEVAC products are of the highest quality, exceeding customer and industry standards. Further, the Mechanical Design Engineer will work cross-functionally to create and evolve ZEVAC’s industry-leading products in the safest and most efficient means possible.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities
- Designing, Analyzing and testing new products and/or product enhancements assuring they are built to specification
- Analyzing and testing existing products to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborating with other Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers, Production Team
- Generating detailed design models and resulting machining drawings in SolidWorks
- Creating budgets and timelines for each project and working to keep teams on track
- Ensuring all products meet safety regulations
- Researching other products and components in the market to generate ideas for improvement
- Developing and building prototypes to test their function
- Conducting user research through field trials and other means to identify consumer needs
- Researching new materials and how they are best applied
- Ensuring assembly is completed to design specifications and industry standards
Mechanical Design Engineer Skills and Qualifications

- In-depth knowledge of industry design principles
Mechanical Design Engineer Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Experience working with the machining of parts is preferred
- EIT or PE preferred
