Mechanic/Technician

Corporate objective: Facilitate the manufacturing, service delivery and ongoing maintenance of our current and future lines of ZEVAC® portable gas recompression products. Further, the mechanic / technician will support the maintenance and management of ZEVAC’s elite fleet of pipeline services rental equipment including fully rated and fully documented ILI-capable launchers, receivers, filters, separators, Fig206 pipe and silencers. As a mechanic / technician you will be working with ZEVAC customers to set up and execute emission-reducing ZEVAC® service jobs, rebuilding and updating ZEVAC® machines as part of routine maintenance and / or assembling and testing ZEVAC® machines in the manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have a history of success as a mechanic working on vehicles, pumps, compressors, or similar. Experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry is a plus. To ensure success in the role, the Mechanic / Technician will have outstanding troubleshooting skills, a solid working knowledge of power tools and a desire to learn. The right individual will be able to engage customers as the consummate professional under what at times may be high stress environments. The role requires the willingness and ability to travel as demand dictates. Travel is approximately 25%. You will perform 25% of your position in the field.

This is an entry level position.

The Mechanic / Technician candidate will have the following skills:

  1. Experience with the following a plus: pipeline pigging, pipeline cleaning, filter/separator operations on pipeline or in plant, portable flaring or pipeline isolation.
  2. Forklift card or the ability to attain one.
  3. Understanding of and experience using PPE - hardhat, gloves, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, FR when needed
  4. The ability to read a Tape Measure down to 1/16 inch.
  5. Experience in industrial Rigging.
  6. 6. Safe heavy lifting experience up to 75 lbs.
  7. Experience using air and hand tools used in manufacturing and maintenance of compression and/or pump equipment.
  8. The ability to successfully attain Abnormal Operating Conditions Operator Qualification per 49 CFR 192.
  9. Experience with safe loading/unloading and securing heavy equipment on trailers. The successful candidate will be able to pass routine and random DOT drug screen and will have a HS diploma or equivalent.
  10. Must be able to travel on short notice.

Starting compensation is competitive and based on experience. Guaranteed overtime of at least 10%.
