The Quality Assurance Manager will implement processes, procedures and guidelines through which ZEVAC will design, develop and produce the highest quality products and services available to the markets we serve. The QA Manager will assist with inspecting incoming parts, will support processes for parts acquisition and manufacturing, and will own final product inspection to make sure ZEVAC products have been built with compliance to engineering and code standards and will therefore meet or exceed customer expectations. A great quality manager is thorough and observant with an eye for detail. They must fully understand the requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as an awareness of and healthy respect for our competition. The goal is to preserve, protect and defend the ZEVAC brand and reputation by ensuring our products and services are robust, reliable and continue to drive sustainable growth of the recompression markets through the ZEVAC brand.
Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for materials, products and processes
- Set requirements for raw material and machined component parts for suppliers and monitor their compliance to specifications
- Supervise inspectors, technicians and other Quality staff and provide guidance and feedback
- Apply quality controls to all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
- Inspect final output of both production product and maintenance product and compare properties to requirements
- Approve the right component parts, products or reject defective items
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis driving continual improvement in the quality of both component parts, work product and finished goods
- Solicit feedback from customers (both internal and external) to assess whether their requirements are met
- Submit detailed reports as needed to effectively communicate quality deviations, adherence to quality metrics
- Seek opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures across the value chain from material and part procurement to finished good production and testing
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, Maintenance and Field Services to implement changes to processes and procedures as driven to enhance product and service quality

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Keen insight into and understanding of pipeline and pressure vessel codes to include but not limited to 49 CFR 192, ASME Section VII, ASME B31.8.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment.
- Certifications in Quality Assurance such as CQPA (Certified Quality Process Analyst), CQI (Certified Quality Inspector), or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
