Quality Engineer

Overview
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products and components meet internal standards and customer specifications. This role drives continuous improvement in quality systems, processes, and products through inspections, audits, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. The Quality Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and service teams to uphold product integrity, enhance product quality and to maintain regulatory compliance.
Job responsibilities:

Engage the business through operating relationships with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, field services and sales to identify opportunities to improve product quality. Following those opportunities through to completion, work effectively across the company to enhance the quality of ZEVAC products and services.

Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans and procedures in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable codes (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).

Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for non-conformances and customer complaints.

Maintain and analyze quality metrics (e.g., NCRs, yield, rework) to identify trends and drive improvement.

Coordinate internal and external audits, including API and ISO certifications, and ensure audit findings are resolved.

Participate in the review and approval of engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, and supplier documentation for quality compliance.

Support supplier quality activities including qualification, performance monitoring, and corrective action follow-up

Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure design-for-quality and manufacturability.

Assist in training personnel on quality procedures and standards.
What we expect of you:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role in a manufacturing environment; oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment preferred.

Working knowledge of industry standards and codes (API, ASME, ISO 9001).

Proficiency with inspection tools, GD&T, and statistical quality methods.

Experience with ERP and quality management systems (QMS); Acumatica preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
