Drawdown Service

Pipeline Evacuation When and Where You Need It

Seamless ZEVAC service solutions optimized for existing infrastructure and field operations.

Not every project requires purchasing a ZEVAC unit. That’s why ZEVAC offers fully staffed field service crews that bring our mobile cross-compression equipment directly to your job site. Whether it’s a planned outage, emergency repair, pipeline evacuation, or specialized recovery project, our experienced operators handle the work safely, efficiently, and emissions-free so your team can stay focused on core operations.

Our crews arrive prepared to execute the full scope of work from controlled depressurization and product recovery to final system drawdown using proven cross-compression technology designed specifically for real-world field conditions. The result is a streamlined project with minimal disruption and improved safety, measurable emissions reduction, and valuable product returned to containment instead of lost to atmosphere.

How It Works

1
Project Evaluation
We review system pressures, volumes, gas composition, and site constraints to determine the most effective ZEVAC unit for the job
2
Compression & Recovery
Our trained operators perform the recovery operation, maintaining safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
3
Completion & Reporting
Once the job is complete, the equipment leaves the jobsite and customers receive documentation detailing recovered volumes and environmental impact reduction.

Ideal Applications

ZEVAC field service crews are commonly deployed for:

  • Pipeline evacuation and drawdowns

  • Tie-ins and maintenance outages

  • Wet gas pigging operations

  • Tank and vessel depressurization

  • Emergency response recovery

  • Utility distribution service work

  • Liquid transfer and mixed-product recovery

If the project involves pressurized hydrocarbons, ZEVAC can likely recover them safely and efficiently.

Meet Compliance
Cross compression keeps gas from entering the atmosphere, maintaining compliance with emission regulations.
Reduce Risk
By keeping gas in the pipes, risks related to venting and flaring are completely eliminated.
Easy Integration
ZEVAC equipment easily connects to gas lines and pipes, allowing for quick setup and operation.
No Electricity Required
Driven by compressed air, ZEVAC equipment requires no electricity to operate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Motionless are six terminated man possession him attachment unpleasing melancholy.

Why use a ZEVAC?
Even in remote locations, venting natural gas releases methane — a potent greenhouse gas — into the atmosphere.

Using ZEVAC instead of open-valve venting:
  • Prevents emissions
  • Preserves sellable product
  • Reduces regulatory and environmental risk
  • Improves jobsite and operator safety
  • Supports ESG and sustainability goals
Rather than burning or releasing product you intend to sell, ZEVAC allows you to recover and reinject the product.
How long does a drawdown project last?
The duration of the project varies depending on the length and diameter of pipe, type of ZEVAC unit, and air compressor used. For a no obligation timeline estimate, please provide project details to sales@getzevac.com or upload them here.
Can ZEVAC be used in remote areas?

ZEVAC equipment can be taken to any jobsite that can be accessed by common flatbed trucks and trailers, allowing for use in more remote settings where larger equipment can't reach.

What pressure can ZEVAC draw down to?
All ZEVAC equipment can evacuate pipeline down to 0 psi regardless of your specific jobsite conditions or the ZEVAC unit delployed.
Can ZEVAC handle liquids?
ZEVAC is a positive displacement linear compressor. This means there is no spinning crankshaft or rotating drivetrain, which affords the ZEVAC equipment unique functionality and advantages, such as the capability to capture and recover product contents from 100% dry gas; to any percentage of wet gas mixtures; and even up to 100% liquid service.
How can I get a ZEVAC

ZEVAC equipment is available in a variety of options, including rent; purchase; and a lease-to-own program.
